This statement goes both ways. You should never choose a love interest over your friends. There is a reason for this. When things inevitably go sour with your flavor of the month, you will need your friends to be there for you to pick you up. It becomes harder to do when you get into more serious relationships but that is more understandable. When it is just some boy or girl that you are casually seeing, that you are not even official with, that is when you cause big problems. I have always lived by this. My friends always come first. I have gotten into huge fights with significant others because I do this. But you know what, I don't regret it for a second because that significant other was the one to screw me over in the end and I needed my friends around. 

It honestly takes a lot for me to be offended, and right now, I am extremely offended. And I do not feel like I am over reacting when EVERY single person that knows the situation feels the same way.

You can never be upset in the end when the only thing you will hear is "I told you so". I hope it's worth it.
